Day 1. February 12, Ulaanbaatar
Upon arrival in Mongolia’s capital city, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisure program of sightseeing around the city including Sukhbaatar square and Zaisan Hill. Optional visit to Natural History Museum of Mongolia. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight in hotel. (L, D)

Day 2. February 13, Lunar New Year Festival
After breakfast, we will visit to Gandan Monastery, take part in morning chants and watch Religious tradition of holiday. Then drive to the countryside and visit a nomadic family and take part in their Lunar Year celebration. Drive back to UB and Overnight in hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 3. February 14, Terelj National Park
After breakfast at the tourist camp, we drive to Terelj National Park, one of the most visited sites near Ulaanbaatar. Terelj is set in the picturesque valley of the granite mountains and the beautiful Terelj river. Transfer to tourist ger camp. We will then visit the Turtle Rock and the Temple of Meditation. Hiking around. Overnight in ger camp. (B, L, D)

Day 4. February 15, Eagle Festival & Ulaanbaatar
Today we participate in the Golden Eagle Festival. Eagle trainers will gather to show their skills and their eagle’s abilities. The festival begins as the participants parade on horses with their eagles displaying their traditional Kazakh dress and their hunting outfit and accessories. Eagle trainers show their skills and their eagle’s hunting abilities. After lunch at the camp, drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 5. February 16, Gobi Desert
Flight to the Gobi Desert. Travel to Bayan Zag, more commonly known as the legendary “Flaming Cliffs”. It was here, on July 13, 1923 that Roy Chapman Andrews and his his expedition team discovered the first nest of dinosaur eggs the world had ever seen. Overnight in ger camp. (B, L, D)

Day 6. February 17, Camel Festival
We will spend the day at the Camel Festival, a local event highlighting Mongolia’s camel culture. The festival includes demonstrations of camel polo and other events. Overnight in ger camp. (B, L, D)

Day 7. February 18, Camel Festival
We will attend the second day of the festival, watching a variety of entertaining camel races, followed by the closing ceremony. Overnight in ger camp. (B, L, D)

Day 8. February 19, Ulaanbaatar
Flight back to Ulaanbaatar. After lunch, visit the Bogd Khan Palace Museum and the National history museum. National Folklore and Farewell dinner. Overnight in hotel. (B, L, D)

Day 9. February 20, Departure
Transfer to airport for return flight. (B)
